Ina and I just bought new mascara yesterday!! We did some cosmetics shopping. And I tell you make up can really make us happy. Call us superficial or whatever. There is nothing wrong in wanting to look good. Well anyways, you know how they always have tester for new products. So Ina and I happily tried the tester which was on the shelf. And boy, it was good. Ina and I were actually contemplating on fake lashes since we always run out of mascara in only 1-2 months. Yes, we CANNOT live without mascara. But after trying this, we decided to stick to mascara. We have always loved dramatic, longer, fuller, curvier lashes and this mascara works for us. Besides, fake eyelashes are such a hassle. Our new found favorite mascara is from Bourjois Paris Cosmetics. It's new and it's called Volume Clubbing, ultra-resistant, volumizing mascara. It’s sweat-proof, tear-proof and friction-proof. Happening kan? It's actually tried and tested and loved by clubbers. Though we don't club, we love it just the same! Heh! Oh and I bought for Sakina the usual Revlon 3D mascara since she too ran out of mascara :)
Anyways, yesterday was filled with weird strangers. Hah!
Scenario no. 1
We were walking at Tampines interchange, chatting away as usual. There was a group of boys sitting at small mac. One of them saw us and told his friends and all of them turned to look at us. They were smiling and started to call us "Uztazah". YIKES! We were so embarrassed! I could have swore they were the same group of boys whom we bumped into when we're going for our religious class. Quite surprised though that they managed to recognize us without our tudung. Hahai! But like super malu because they were like shouting "Uztazah" at Tampines interchange where there is a lot of people. And we were not properly dressed as so to speak to be called Uztazah. Haha!
Scenario no. 2
We just got out of the train at city hall when we realized 2 guys behind us were trying to start a conversation with us. We pretended not to hear them and just walked and looked straight. As they walked nearer to us, they were like "Cina ehh? Melayu? Melayu ke? Ke Cina?" That went on for a few seconds. When we ignored them, they tried another approach. They spoke in english! "Are you chinese? Or are you malay? Chinese? Malay?" And that went on for a few seconds. Again, we completely ignored them. HAHA!!
Scenario no. 3
We were walking outside Shaw Towers going to Far East Plaza when 3 guys in front of us with helmets in their hands kept turning back to look at us. They looked like they're in their late twenties. Then they slowed down and one of them approached us and said "Hi, my friends nak kenal2." Ina was like "Oh sorry, we're taken." Hahahaha.
WEIRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!
So anyways, Ina and I will be going for more cosmetics shopping later. Yaye! More make up!
And yes people, I got that job! I start tomorrow. I'll be working at their headquarters. I'm nervous yet excited. Heee. I am so gonna wear my appropriate little black dress, 4-inch heels, red hot Guess bag and volume clubbing mascara. Hot Malay officers, here I come! Hahai hai hai!
love,
nadia.
