My weekend was well spent, I must say.
On Saturday, Dowayne and I met up with the rest of the cousins and breakfast together. We did a little shopping too. Dowayne bought a The Doors edition Hi-Cut Converse sneakers.
And I bought 2 falsies and it's adhesive. 
I decided to give this brand a try because it is made up of 100% human hair. It is lightweight and very soft. So your eyelid won't feel like you have a pound of something on it. It feels quiet natural. I give it two thumbs up.Oh oh! Bobbi Brown's lipgloss and Christian Dior's mascara are finally in my hands! Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it!
Ok enough of these material things.So. We broke our fast at Geylang together and then walked around there for a little while. It was totally packed. And smoky! We couldn't stand it anymore because we were sweating and sweating is so not glam so we decided to ditch Geylang and went back to Tampines to catch a midnight show. We watched The House Bunny.
House Bunny was hilarious!It's such a 'girlfriends' movie. And it appeals to guys too because there are so many hot girls. Just ask my brother. Right, Dowayne? Haha. Check out the cast too. A lot of celebrities' son/daughter, singers, band boy and hot young people. And the soundtrack is fabulous. Very hip, very now. The movie is bimbotic, materialistic and sort of superficial. I LOVE IT. Haha. Not to mention it's GLAM factor.
But it's not all about the outside. The movie too preaches about being and liking who you are inside first. I DIG THIS MOVIE. Being glamorous and caring about your appearance doesn't make you less human. There is nothing wrong in wanting to look good. You have to be nice too, of course.
I am a big believer of NO ONE IS REALLY UGLY.It's all up to you whether you are willing to put a little bit of effort to look nice. If you don't like people commenting about how not pretty you are, then don't slug around, being mad at the world and eating those high-calorie food. Instead, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
If you are not blessed with looks, you should at least wear the right clothing, dress up, put on some makeup, fix your hair, spray some perfume and it could bring you from ugly right up to average. Well, at least you look presentable right?
Like the movie, I'm not telling you to change who you are inside. Just improving your outside for the better. Boost your self-esteem. But always remember you are the exact same person before, you never really change.

No. 1: Christian Dior's mascara and Bobbi Brown's lipgloss are finally here. YAYE-NESS!! (as if you guys haven't already know) I can't wait to get glam up in those. Gimme gimme gimme!!
No. 2: I took the same train with Mr. IO for 2 days. The first day, we took the same lift together too. Can I say awkward? It was so weird and super quiet. I could have swore I could hear a pin drop. And Mr. IO is soooo not a gentleman. He didn't even open the door for me leh. PANGKAR! The embarrassing part was that I walked myself to the door that he DID NOT open for me. HAHAHAHA. My god. I wanna dieeeeeeeeee. So paiseh sia. Then the next day, when we took the same train again, I totally avoided him. I sooooo do not wanna take the same lift with him again. I don't even wanna bump into him ever again! GEEZ!

Work's SUPER TIRING today! Yesterday, i had this funny customer. He said to me "Are you local? You don't looked Chinese, You don't looked Indian.. So what are you?" And i replied "Im Malay. Singapore do have Malays you know." WHAT AM I??? WHAT A QUESTION? Haha!
My knees gonna drop off anytime soon. Im super tired by running here and there at work. Despite the hecticness i had at work, Mr "Fruity" made my day. He's been a sweetheart all day. His messages makes me smile like crazy. haha! My workplace have alot of people from different company and they will always come up and talk to me. Yesterday, there was this guy who came up to me and asked " Hi, keja company apa?" And today, another guy from the same company asked "Eh, you going home already ah?" Another guy from another company will wave at me everytime he sees me. So friendly la they all. hah! I love the whole environment as i get to meet alot of people.
I've got PH for Raya and off day on the 2nd day but too bad i'm working on the weekends. So i'm not able to follow the whole family for raya visiting. Anyways, im off on my birthday. GREAT! And the best thing is Mr "Fruity" might date me out on that day. I replied him "Ok, that day is for you" He replied back again "Its for us" Cheeky la kan! HAH! 6 more days to go and the last day of fasting, Mr "Fruity" might take me out for a ride to Geylang. I LOVE KAK AIN FOR MAKING US HAPPEN! HAHA! But my big sis reminded the both of us to know each other better. He's closer to my big sister as they have been working with each other for say 2 or 3 years. There's no high hopes here. There's no need to rush tho i know im not getting any younger but it's up to ALLAH SWT.

I am super vain that I would like to start off this entry with pictures of myself.
Today, I spent about 30-45 minutes at work text messaging my brother, Shahril. Sumpah malas nak keje. Da mood raya! Hahai. We 'talked' about the usual unimportant stuff and laughed at the most ridiculous things. I like that we have a healthy relationship, you know. That we are so close. Despite the 10 year gap. He makes me smile :)
He remembers my birthday and buys me presents. He never fails to ask me what I want every year on my birthday. The little things that he did just put a smile on my face. Like how he remembered my first day of work then and text messaged me asking how I was coping and all. Cute right? Haha. Definitely the best older brother anyone could ever asked for.
Last week, I was bored and baked him 'cornflakes bermadu' (honeyed cornflakes) for raya. And this week, I am baking him marble cake! Hope it turns out well, insya'allah. Fingers crossed! Heh.

I wanted to try a new mascara and so I asked Ina to recommend me one. She recommended Christian Dior's Diorshow Blackout Mascara. I googled it and the reviews were pretty good and women are actually raving about it. And so I asked Ina to get it for me. Thanks eh cousin. I so can't wait to try the mascara. Faster leh. Heh.

Okay about work. My contract is ending next month right? Well, my AOC said he wanna keep me. But it's impossible because in their SOP, there are no administrative staff in their unit. All are solely officers. Which means, they have to go through the head, and then another higher authority and then another higher authority and then finally the Director just to keep me. Oh the hassle! I believed my AOC already brought this issue up to our head but I guess it didn't work. So now he told me he will recommend me to the other units. I just have to keep my fingers crossed that someone resign before my contract ends. And my AOC added that if no one does, he'll try his best to extend my contract. Sweet huh my AOC and colleagues?! My colleagues actually sent an email to my OC to keep me. Obviously, they think I've been doing a good job so THANK YOU. I appreciate all your help and I definitely appreciate you guys. But if I do get permanent, I won't be working with them anymore. I'll be at a different unit, different floor, different office. Worst, I have to work with girls! Ugh. HAHA.
I've been seeing a lot of ladies going out with younger guys. Like a lot. Even my brother's schoolmate (a secondary 3 student) is going out with a secondary 5 girl. I think it is becoming a norm or a trend perhaps. I personally had enough of younger guys. I've dated a lot of them in the past. It didn't go so well. So yeah, no more younger guys. I've dated someone 2 years younger and 3 years younger than me. Bad memories. Don't even wanna go there.
My girls and I think that older guys are still waaaayyy better. Not just a few years older. But like at least 5 years older. We thought it's better that way. I've given it a lot of thought and I have no qualms marrying someone 10 years older (or 12 years older max) than me . As long as they're in the same category as my brother, Shahril. A 30-something who looks younger than his real age and still wears clothes from Topman. Hah! But seriously, 30-something guys nowadays look younger than they really are. (which is why they are worth considering)
Here are some of the reasons why we should consider those 30-something guys.
Take note that I used words like "most", "a lot", "usually" and "normally". Because I know that not all of them are like what I mentioned above. But majority of them are. Usually these 30-somethings have already almost everything they want in life. A house, a car, career, stable income, etc. All they lack of is a wife! Best thing is, they are ready to settle down, have given up their clubbing days and are financially stable to start a family. So maybe an older man is the best for me? Whatever it is, the most important thing is that he adores me and I feel the same way about him.
FYI: My 1st brother's wife is 10 years younger than him and my 2nd brother's wife is 8 years younger than him.

I've fallen in love with James McAvoy. He plays the lead guy in this movie. He is just so dreamy. He has this shaggy haircut, pretty eyes and the way he dresses works for me. He has this mysterious and dark look going on. And that cool persona. You know, he looked like he didn't give a damn about his appearance but yet he looked so damn fine. Something like Johnny Depp kinda vibe. Think shaggy haircut, eye bags, pale face but still look hot! I love that kinda look on guys. If you know what I mean. It's like sort of selekeh without being selekeh. Whatever that means. You have to see the movie to get what I mean. Fashionably sensitive but too cool to care.

Just a brief update about yesterday. It was my off day but i went back to my ex-workplace to pass a friend his belated birthday gift and at the same time to visit them. Everytime i pay them a visit, i sense some people who will get excited and tell other people that i came over. Bukan nak cakap apa la kan... haha... I was only there for 20 mins and make my way to work for training. It was oklah. After training, i went over to meet the schenker youngsters for break fast and spent the night with them. =)
My crush texted me this "Hie Lina... So hapi to c u. I was just like tinking of u tis morning n suddenly u pt ofiz" Trust me, i was smiling from ear to ear! And someone from my ex-workplace asked one of my close ex-colleague for my number. On my last day of work was his first day of work so basically i never talk or work with him before.
This morning, i received a message from an unknown number and it's one of the part timer from my ex-workplace. I was kinda pissed that he has my number when he is not suppose to! arghhh! And this evening, i received another text from another unknown number and he claimed he got my number thru a website and my nickname was "haslin" He said his name was "Udin kapok frm cooking for love" I SWEAR I HAVE NO IDEA WHO HE IS AND I SWEAR I NEVER GIVE OUT MY NUMBER THRU WEBSITE AND I SWEAR I NEVER PUT MY NICKNAME AS HASLIN! He is talking bullshit alright! So i replied him "please eh! I never give out my number thru website and i don't go by the nickname of 'haslin' So where do u get my number?" He replied "im just a friend who wants to befriend" WTF! I replied him back "My question was easy. I asked you where did you get my number?" And he never reply. I was pissed that my number was given to strangers and i dislike that.
On the happier note, i just bought a new perfume from my fav. idol Christina Aguilera. Tho this is not the lastest from her but Singapore just bring this perfume in and i'm waiting for them to bring in Christina Aguilera Inspire. I totally love it!!!

The other day while Ina was busy shopping for Bobbi Brown, Sakina & I were busy testing their products. And we fell in love almost instantly with their lip gloss. I tried it on first and totally felt the different with all the other lip gloss I had worn before. So I put some on Sakina and she loved it and then I put it on Ina and she loved it. Sooooo the three of us are gonna get Bobbi Brown's lip gloss! Yaye! We are soooooo gonna look great during Raya. HAHA.
Anyways, today I met up with Iris. (after a year!) My beautiful colleague from my previous workplace. It's been a while since we sat down and just catch up. So today we did. And she told me she just broke up with her boyfriend of a year about a month ago. I really pity her. I can say she's been through a lot. But she very pretty leh! A beautiful girl like her has guy problems then what about us?! What do guys want anyways?!?!
Let me share her story with you beautiful people.
We worked together previously. That time, both of us were new so we clicked instantly. We became close very quickly and I was known as her "girlfriend" at work. Everyone called us lesbians. Haha. She had a boyfriend then. Let's call him Guy A. She has been going out with Guy A for 3 years. They met in school. And he wooed her and eventually won her over. They were happy till he became "different" and she found out he has been seeing another girl behind her back. They broke up. She was very sad and she would be in a daze sometimes.
Then some time later, she met a guy, Guy B, at this temple that she always go to for her prayers. Guy B seems nice. Wooed her and they went out on a couple of dates. And he told her that he liked her. Everything was fantastic. I could see a smile on her face again. Till a third party came. Her own temple buddy, Girl C. One day, she overheard Guy B saying to Girl C that he was actually interested in Girl C. Not my friend. Iris was heartbroken. When she came to the office and told me, her eyes were filled with tears. Then at night, she randomly text messaged me "Nadia, my heart aches. See you tomorrow." I could have sworn I felt for her.
Few months later, a new guy joined the company. Guy D. Guy D was sweet and decent-looking. They became close. But Iris has had enough and told him she doesn't want anymore heartache. But Guy D was confident he wasn't the same like all those guys. He went on to woo her for 5 months and she gave her heart to him. He promised her he wouldn't hurt her and he would make her happy. They were happy for a year and then he became "different". He turned out to be just like all those guys. He flirted endlessly with all those new girls till someone came up to Iris and said "Are you Guy D's girlfriend or her?" They broke up a month ago. Iris was depressed for a while. Like she was really heartbroken.
Today she told me,
"Nadia, now I can really say all guys are the same. I don't want anymore heartache. You know, a year ago we were talking about guys being idiots, a year later they are still idiots. I don't wanna date anymore. But I don't wanna be an old maid! Haiyah, I don't know lah. I give up. If my heart breaks one more time, I'll die."
And then she giggled. Well, at least she still has a smile on her face. You'll survive babe, don't worry.

Yesterday was a fantastic day for us. We managed to get together at last. Yeah, it's been awhile. But the fact that we rarely meet, we are still tight like siblings. That's what matters the most to us. We had dinner (break fast) over at Ayam Penyet Ria. There were 11 of us and we're the most kecoh group. Nothing new i guess. haha. After dinner, we heading down to Mc Cafe Lido to chill and waste our time away. We orderd a few drinks and some cheesecake and brownies. Nadia, Sakina and I make our way to Bobbi Brown as i needed to buy something. I will touch on that later. So all of us chilled till around 10.30pm and make our way home since most are working today. While on our way to the car, we saw one of our precious boy, KHALID! He just got back from Taiwan and going off to Milan soon. Coolness. It was great to get to meet him after a looooooonggggggg time. Kinda miss his laughter. haha. Next date with everyone again soon!! =)
