Hello beautiful people! I know, I know. We've not been updating as often as we used to. What?? We're been busy. Heh. Update sooooon. Promise.
Layne rang me up yesterday afternoon after sending his late sister off. He told me the funeral went well and that his sister's coffin was pink! So cute right? And so we talked asking each other how we've been and all. He told me he was seeing someone for 3-4 months now. A Malay girl by the name of Ana. I did not know how it all started but he has this indefinable strong interest in Malay culture, Malay language, Malay food and of course, Malay girlsssss. Haha. Good luck with Ana, my Australian mate.
The double wedding over the weekend was insane. The brothers were finally married. Alhamdulilah. May Asri and Hani as well as Rizal and Shikin last long, till death do them apart. Insya'Allah. Let's take a look at the pictures, shall we?
Check out Asri's bestman. T-t-t-tasty-tasty! Ooooo there's him again below. Look at that chiseled face.
My favorite picture of the couple. I asked for a candid shot and they gave me this. Totally did not disappoint. Although there were disapproving gasps from the older generation because they did this in front of everyone and at the dias itself. Haha.
Rizal's entrance was so cute with a little kid wearing a scary mask doing the kuda kepang. I couldn't take a nice picture of the pengantin because there were too many people surrounding them. It was too packed and I had to distance myself away from that place. Sheesh!
B came over too! Glad you could make it. Heeee. That's Sakina and my most good-looking Aussie cousin. I could have swore he could be a hollywood actor with that looks.
I finally found enough courage inside of me to stand up and karaoke at the wedding! Sheeeeeeeesssshhhhh! The song I picked was a duet and there was no guy available to sing it with me so one of the DJs volunteered himself and sang it with me.
And what do you know, at the end of the wedding while I was chilaxing with everybody else and those DJs were packing their things, that guy I sang a duet with called one of my cousins over and passed her a piece of paper with his digits on it and asked her to pass it to me. I was well, flattered. But no.
I had to ignore Faizal because firstly, I am not getting tricked into calling him first. If he really wants to get to know me, he would asked me for my digits himself and call me first. I am not doing the "first" move. Secondly, he was covered with tattoos. Let me explain myself before you people think I am being unfair or prejudice. I do not discriminate people with tattoos. I do not treat people differently just because he/she has tattoos. People make mistakes. I am okay accepting someone with tattoos as long as he realizes his mistakes, regretted what he did and actually wanting to change for the better. We are humans after all. Having said that, it is still forbidden for Muslims to have tattoos. Tattoos are still seen as taboo with the older generation. My parents would totally flipped out if they knew I am seeing someone covered with/have tattoos. And being quite a filial daughter that I am, (ahem! haha!) I am in no position to go against them. And thirdly, he's simply just not my type. Sorry. Heh. But I had to give him some credit though. He was nice and gentle. Not like those thugs with tattoos you meet on the street. Those guys are rowdy and rude and crude towards women. Pffft.
5 days break before work starts again on Monday. Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
love,
